Abstract
In the last decade, the notion of be-spoke software or requirements as contract has become less and less relevant. Is the dominant paradigm perhaps the Microsoft one? This is an environment in which software development proceeds on market driven criteria, Software development currently has to attempt overcome the obstacles of requirements evolution, schedule pressures, minimizing development costs etc. Does it now move to “He who delivers wins”. The obstacles that make it difficult to introduce RE research results into mainstream RE practice is time and the incentive that will necessitate that it does occur is money.
