Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the implementation of green IT strategy in a UK university. To achieve this aim, we investigate the effectiveness of the implementation of such a strategy through the benefits gained, such as saving money, energy and reduce carbon emissions through the use of environmentally friendly devices and reduce the use of printers and papers, as well as e-waste management and some of the difficulties encountered when applying this strategy. The method used to collect the data was interview, which is suitable for this research because it is qualitative research that need to be accurate and specific, this research provide the recommendations for the university and other universities to encourage the achievement of this strategy to be environmentally effective and efficient.
