| Abstract |

This paper describes the motivation, development and
current status of the Information Technology Bachelor of
Science degree program at the University of Central
Florida. Our goal is to provide our particular point of
view on what should comprise an IT degree and thereby
to elicit open dialogue with others who may have similar
or even completely differing points of view.
