| Abstract |

This paper reports on the KSG experiencies to introduce a configuration management system for the maintenance of nuclear power plant simulator software. After a discussion on the KSG specific requirements on a computer based software configuration management system a brief overview about the realization is given. The paper concludes with a report on the development process of a software configuration management system and on first experiencies regarding the use of the system for the maintenance process.
